Vhett - Anime Cel Frame - Built to Order

Our Vhett frames use a high-quality 99.5% UV-resistant acrylic along with acid free four layer museum matboard to insure the highest quality of preservation. The acrylic is scratch resistant, and has an anti-glare coating so you can enjoy the display at all angles!

The frame is made from strong and light aluminum or wood and the whole thing is sealed together with a piece of museum grade acid free foam board.

This particular frame can be customized to fix a wide variety of anime cels. 

All Anime cel kits come with a black frame and a white mat. Wooden frames have a thicker overall frame as shown in the pictures

The best way to preserve an anime cel is to store in a dark environment at a neutral humidity in proper acid free packaging. 

Our Anime cel frames are designed to display anime cels while preserving them to the best extent. Anime cels break down through a process called hydrolysis where the cellulose in the plastic film reacts with water in the air to form acidic acid, also known as vinegar. This maybe be familiar if the term "vinegar syndrome" has come up with discussion of cels.

The museum grade acid free mat and backing board can help reduce and absorb some of the acidic acid that forms naturally on a cel, further more the desiccant strips will work to maintain a stable humidity for your cel. Overall the Vhett anime cel frames are designed with preservation in mind, allowing anyone to feel confident to display cels!
